Life wouldn’t be the same without having a best friend and so its only right that we celebrate “National Best Friend Day” in such a way as this….

National Best Friend Day

“God created the world and everything in it, but even he found it incomplete, lacking, without a main thing – Adam’s companion. God called everything good but looked at Adam and said it’s NOT good for him to be alone – so he created Adam’s sidekick, his other half, his friend. We all need that support and love of a best friend – whether it be a spouse or a sibling, it is not wise or an easy thing to walk your journey alone. Having a best friend to talk to about anything takes away the burden or sorrow that each day gives us… we can laugh about silly things with them that others just wouldn’t understand even if we tried to explain it – the statement  “you had to be there” is proof enough. You share inside jokes and talk for hours, sometimes about nonsense, sometimes it goes deep. Your best friend reserves that spot at your wedding as Maid of Honor/Best Man, not to mention Godmother/Godfather to your first child and all your children. In this day and age it’s always a great thing to witness best friends together, talking and laughing about things from the past and dreaming about plans you both make for the future, whether backpacking across Europe or growing old together. Your best friend is someone who knows your deepest secrets, your fears and insecurities, yet they still stick around and love you in spite of it all.
